EiM Year in Review

Celebrating three years of Education in Motion

This July marks the anniversary of Education in Motion (EiM) and as we look towards the new academic year, we celebrate our achievements and remarkable progress since our founding. Three years ago, we transitioned from Dulwich College Management International to Education in Motion (EiM), positioning ourselves to successfully expand and grow our diverse portfolio of schools and resources while staying true to the ethos that defined our first school.

Over the past year, we have remained dedicated to our mission of empowering communities through innovative education, while striving for a better, more sustainable future. We have cultivated a vibrant community united by a shared vision and a strong commitment to fostering positive change through education. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Together, we will continue to innovate, adapt, and evolve – empowering communities, inspiring minds, and shaping a better world for generations to come.

Let’s take a look at the highlights of the past year!

Sherfield School joins EiM

This academic year, we were incredibly excited to welcome Sherfield School into our EiM family. Sherfield School, located in Hampshire in the UK, is a top co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 3 months to 18 years old. Sherfield School is committed to educating the whole child and guiding pupils towards reaching their full potential as passionate and innovative problem solvers, ready to contribute to society. With a holistic curriculum, first-class extracurriculars and an environment that fosters a love of learning, Sherfield pupils consistently achieve excellent academic outcomes while developing into independent and confident young people.

Fraser White, Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at EiM, commented, “As EiM’s first school in the UK, this marks a milestone for us and reflects our commitment and ambition in continuing to expand our global presence with mission-aligned schools. Our dedication to delivering exceptional educational experiences continues to be our guiding principle, and we look forward to welcoming Sherfield into our growing and dynamic network of schools.

EiM's Chief Education Officer Lesley Meyer noted, “In Sherfield’s commitment to be an outstanding, all-round academic, active, and creative school, we recognised a school with a mission aligned with EiM. Their school motto, ad vitam paramus (‘we prepare for life’) is a natural fit with EiM’s vision to inspire generations of learners to Live Worldwise. We are excited to work with Sherfield and its community, and to build on the school's many strengths."

EiM Unveils Singapore’s First Net-Zero International School Building at Dulwich College (Singapore)

This year, we officially opened The Greenhouse at Dulwich College (Singapore) – the first net-zero international school building in Singapore that exemplifies sustainable design, featuring an eco-envelope consisting of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) panels and energy-efficient systems in alignment with not only our group values, but also the Singapore Green Plan 2030.

We were honoured to have Minister for National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration Desmond Lee as our Guest-of-Honour to launch The Greenhouse alongside British High Commissioner to Singapore Her Excellency Kara Owen CMG, and our founders Karen Yung and Fraser White during the Grand Opening of the building.

This year, our Dulwich College International schools excelled at both the Tes Awards and the China School Awards. Congratulations are in order for each of the Colleges for their wins and nominations, a true testament to the unwavering dedication and commitment to students, education, and community.

Originating in the UK, the Tes Awards are considered the gold standard awarding body, celebrating the most outstanding schools and teachers within the global education community and spotlighting their innovative and exceptional education practices. Our Dulwich College International schools were shortlisted in six categories with seven nominations, including International School of the Year, International Principal/Head of the Year, Best Use of Technology, Community Engagement Initiative of the Year, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award and Sustainability Award. Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi was awarded the prestigious 'Best Use of Technology' accolade for its groundbreaking 'Holistic AI for All' program, and Dulwich College (Singapore) was honoured with two TES awards: the 'Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Award' for its remarkable contributions in fostering an inclusive learning environment, and the 'Sustainability Award' for its commitment to sustainable initiatives and practices.

Organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China (BritCham China), the China School Awards recognise and celebrate the achievement and best practice of international-oriented K12 education in China. Our schools were shortlisted for five awards across four categories: Holistic Education, Pastoral Care, Diversity and Inclusion, and Students for Sustainability. Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi won in two categories – the Diversity & Inclusion Award and the Students for Sustainability Award, while Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong won the Holistic Education Award.

These awards not only reflect our commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment but also highlight the remarkable accomplishments of our community. We celebrate the remarkable success of our winners and nominees and the positive impact they continue to make on the global education landscape.
